Coach Guide

As a coach on the Petanque Life platform, you have access to tools for managing your certification, planning training sessions, tracking player development, and running youth programs. This guide covers the essentials of your coaching role.

Registration & Certification

Register as a coach and manage your certification.

Step 1: Create Coach Profile

Navigate to your profile → Coaching. Register as a coach by providing your certification level and areas of specialization.

Step 2: Certification

Upload your coaching certifications. The federation verifies and approves your credentials. Your coach badge and specializations appear on your profile.

Step 3: Continuing Education

Track your continuing education credits. View upcoming seminars, workshops, and online courses available through your federation.

Training Planning

Create and manage training sessions and programs.

Step 1: Create Session

Navigate to Training → New Session. Set the date, time, venue, and target group. Add exercises from the drill library or create custom ones.

Step 2: Build Programs

Combine sessions into multi-week training programs. Set goals, progression milestones, and assessment points. Share programs with your players.

Step 3: Track Attendance

Record attendance for each session. Players can also check in via the mobile app. Track participation rates over time.

Player Development

Track player progress and maintain development diaries.

Step 1: Player Profiles

View detailed profiles of the players you coach. See their competition history, training attendance, and performance trends.

Step 2: Development Diary

Maintain a development diary for each player. Record observations, technique assessments, and improvement areas. Players can view their own diary.

Step 3: Goals & Milestones

Set development goals for each player. Define milestones and track progress. Generate progress reports for players and parents (for youth).

Youth Programs

Manage youth development programs and school partnerships.

Step 1: Create Youth Program

Set up structured youth programs with age-appropriate progression. Define skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and the pathway between them.

Step 2: School Partnerships

Register school partnership programs. Track participating schools, student engagement, and conversion to club membership.

Step 3: Safeguarding

Access safeguarding policies and reporting tools. All youth coaches must complete safeguarding certification. The platform tracks certification status.
