Whether you are a competitive player aiming for national rankings or a casual player enjoying the sport with friends, the Petanque Life platform gives you modern tools for every aspect of the game. This guide covers your player journey from start to finish.

Registration & Profile
Create your player account and set up your profile.
Step 1: Create Account
Download the Petanque Life app or visit the website. Sign up with your email, phone number, or social login. Verify your email to activate your account.
Step 2: Complete Profile
Add your personal details, photo, and playing preferences (preferred format, game class). Select your club from the directory or request to join.
Step 3: Club Affiliation
Your club administrator approves your membership request. Once approved, you appear in the club's member list and can participate in club activities.
License Application
Apply for and maintain your playing license.
Step 1: Apply for License
Navigate to Profile → License. Select the license type available in your federation. Upload required documents (photo, medical certificate if applicable).
Step 2: Payment
Pay the license fee via the platform (card or bank transfer). The fee is split automatically between federation, district, and club components.
Step 3: Receive License
Once approved by your club and federation, your digital license appears in the app. Present the QR code at competitions for instant verification.
Find & Enter Competitions
Browse the competition calendar and register for events.
Step 1: Browse Calendar
View upcoming competitions on the calendar. Filter by format, category, location, and date. See entry fees, current registration count, and venue details.
Step 2: Register
Tap "Register" on a competition. Form a team if required (doublette/triplette) by inviting other players. Pay the entry fee via the app.
Step 3: Pre-Competition
Receive a notification when the draw is published. View your first-round opponent, court assignment, and start time in the app.
Results & Rankings
View your match results, statistics, and ranking position.
Step 1: Match Results
After each competition, view your match results in your profile. See scores, opponents, and round-by-round progression.
Step 2: Statistics
Track your performance statistics: win/loss record, average score, performance by format, and head-to-head records against other players.
Step 3: Ranking
View your national ranking position, ELO points, and trend over time. See how recent results have affected your ranking.
Casual Games
Log friendly games and find players near you.
Step 1: Log a Game
Use the app to log casual games. Enter the score and tag the players (they confirm via their app). Casual games appear in your activity feed but don't affect rankings.
Step 2: Find Players
Use the "Find Players" feature to discover other players near your location. See their availability and preferred playing times.
Step 3: Find Venues
Browse the venue map to find courts near you. See opening hours, surface type, number of courts, and real-time availability.
Mobile App Guide
Get the most out of the Petanque Life mobile app.
Step 1: Download & Setup
Download Petanque Life from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with your account. Enable push notifications to stay updated on competitions, results, and club news.
Step 2: Key Features
The app gives you access to: your digital license, competition calendar, live scores, rankings, casual game logging, venue finder, and club communication.
Step 3: Offline Mode
Core features work offline — view your license, log casual games, and check cached competition info. Data syncs automatically when connectivity returns.
