Equipment Catalog

The catalog is a centralized product master that every storefront, marketplace listing, and POS terminal in the platform reads from. Boule products are modeled with the full specification surface that competitive players evaluate: manufacturer, model name, weight (in grams, typically 650–800g), diameter (70.5–80mm), hardness category (soft/semi-soft/semi-hard/hard), striation pattern, and material. Each boule SKU links to its FIPJP Equipment Homologation record (F11.04), so the catalog automatically surfaces the green 'FIPJP approved' badge and the homologation expiry date — listings whose homologation lapses are flagged for the seller to renew or re-categorize as recreational.

Accessories (cochonnets, magnetic pickers, measuring tools, microfibre towels, transport bags) and apparel (team wear, federation merchandise, official referee outfits) live alongside boules with category-specific attribute schemas. Customers can leave verified-purchase reviews tied to their order ID, with ratings broken down per dimension (durability, grip, value-for-money) so the data is useful for buyer-decision support. The Equipment Comparison Tool lets a player select up to four boule models and view a parallel-column matrix of every spec, weighted by their preferred playing style (pointer/middle/shooter), and outputs a recommendation score.

Manufacturers can publish New Product Announcements that are pushed to followers of the brand, syndicated to the federation news feed, and pre-listed in the catalog with 'available from' dates. The catalog feeds product cards into Marketplace (F11.02), Brand Storefronts, and the Pro service enquiry forms (F11.06), and exposes a public read API so club websites and FIPJP can embed approved-equipment widgets.
