Players add boule sets to their inventory by picking from a catalog of homologated brands and models or scanning a serial number. Each entry stores the full spec sheet — brand, model, weight (typically 650-800 g), diameter (70.5-80 mm), hardness, striation pattern — pulled from the manufacturer database. Multiple sets per player are supported; most competitive players carry two or three for different terrains.

Serial number tracking is the homologation backbone. The federation publishes the list of homologated boules; entering a serial validates the boule against that registry and stores a verified badge on the inventory card. Officials checking equipment at a competition can scan the player's app QR to confirm every boule in play is homologated — a workflow that replaces paper certificates and manual stamp-checking.

The photo gallery lets players capture each set, the carry case, accessories (jacks, magnets, towels) and any custom markings. Performance notes per boule set is the killer feature: free-text and structured fields for which set works best on which surface (gravel vs clay vs hard packed), in which weather (dry vs wet, hot vs cold) and for which role (tireur vs pointeur). Notes get smarter over time as the wear-tracking module ties match logs back to equipment used.

Wear tracking auto-increments matches played per set when the player tags a set in match entry, with surface type and conditions captured. A total-matches counter and visual wear meter help players know when to retire a set. The wishlist supports CRUD on items the player wants next, with price-watch integration to retailer feeds. Comparison takes 2-5 sets — owned, wishlisted, or from the catalog — and renders them side-by-side in a tabular view with spec deltas highlighted. The "what the pros use" gallery pulls equipment profiles from top-ranked players who have opted to share their setup, with searchable filters (level, country, role, format) and a verified badge confirming the profile is curated by the player themselves.
