This privacy policy describes how petanque.life (the marketing website) collects and processes personal data. For information about how the Petanque Life platform processes data on behalf of federations and clubs, see our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) .

2. What Personal Data We Collect

petanque.life collects the following data:

Plausible Analytics

Anonymized visitor statistics (page views, referrer, country, device type). No cookies are used. No personal data is stored. Plausible is hosted in the EU and is fully GDPR compliant without requiring consent.

Contact form

If you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is stored solely to respond to your inquiry.

3. Cookies

petanque.life currently does not use any cookies. Plausible Analytics is entirely cookie-free.

If Google Analytics 4 is activated in the future, a cookie consent banner will be implemented and this policy will be updated accordingly. GA4 scripts will only load after the visitor has given explicit consent.

5. Storage and Deletion

  • Plausible Analytics — Data is stored by Plausible Analytics (EU-hosted). It cannot be linked to individual visitors.
  • Contact form submissions — Deleted after 12 months.

6. Third Parties

We share data with the following third parties:

  • Plausible Analytics (EU) — anonymized visitor statistics.
  • Microsoft Azure (North Europe) — website hosting.

7. Your Rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Sweden, this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

8. International Visitors

This website is aimed at an international audience.

All data is stored within the EU/EEA.

No data is transferred to third countries without an adequate level of protection.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated. The latest version is always available at /privacy.

Significant changes will be communicated on the website.

10. Sub-Processors

Petanque Life uses third-party sub-processors to deliver the platform. A complete, up-to-date list is published at /security/sub-processors .

Tenants are notified 30 days in advance of any new sub-processor being added.

11. Personal Data Incidents

In the event of a personal data breach affecting data processed on behalf of a federation, Petanque Life will notify the relevant supervisory authority (IMY in Sweden) within 72 hours of detection, in accordance with GDPR Article 33.

Affected federations (as data controllers) will be notified without undue delay. The full incident response process is documented internally and applied to all Severity 1 incidents involving personal data.

12. Data Export and Erasure

Under GDPR Articles 15 (access) and 17 (erasure), members and players can:

  • Request a full data export — available via the profile settings in the Petanque Life app.
  • Request account deletion — available via the profile settings or by contacting support.

Federations (as data controllers) can request a full data export of their tenant data via the admin dashboard or by contacting support@petanque.life.
