Inclusion & Equity

F17.05 6 fonctionnalités Planifié

En bref

Inclusion & Equity makes participation a measurable goal across the petanque ecosystem — tracking gender balance, supporting para-petanque classification, registering approved adaptive equipment, versioning federation inclusion policies, and giving leadership the dashboards and venue-audit tools they need to remove barriers across age, gender, disability and geography. The subsystem turns inclusion from an aspiration into something planned, monitored and continuously improved.

Comment ça fonctionne

The subsystem treats inclusion as something you can plan for, measure and improve. Gender equity reporting aggregates participation data across licences, competitions, coaching roles and federation leadership positions. Federations can see at a glance where representation is healthy and where intervention is needed — for instance, plenty of female players at junior level but no female head coaches in the top division.

For para-petanque, the platform manages the classification process: classifiers assess players against the international classification rules, the result is recorded with an effective date and review schedule, and the classification automatically determines event eligibility. An adaptive equipment registry holds approved aids — mechanical throwing devices, wheelchair platforms, custom magnets — so referees at events know what is permitted for which player.

Every federation can register and version its own inclusion policy: anti-discrimination commitments, accessible language, complaint routes, and target indicators. Diversity dashboards visualise the platform's underlying data along multiple axes — age, gender, disability status and geographic spread — without ever exposing individual identities.

Venues, finally, can be assessed against an accessibility audit checklist: parking, paths, toilets, viewing areas, lane access, signage and acoustics. Audit results are stored with the venue profile, so when a competition is being awarded, organisers and federations can see at a glance whether the venue meets the accessibility level required for that event.

Capacités clés

  • Gender equity reporting across participation, coaching and leadership
  • Para-petanque disability classification management with review schedules
  • Adaptive equipment registry of approved aids per player
  • Per-federation inclusion policy tracking with versioning
  • Diversity dashboards across age, gender, disability and geography
  • Accessibility audit tools for venues with stored results

En pratique

A national federation's inclusion lead opens her quarterly dashboard. Junior participation is balanced across genders, but the senior coaching pipeline is still 84 percent male. She launches a targeted bursary campaign through the marketing module aimed at female coaches in three under-served regions.

In parallel, a para-petanque classifier records new classifications for four players ahead of an upcoming international tournament, attaches their adaptive equipment to the registry, and the entries flow straight into competition eligibility. Later that week a venue is being considered for the national finals; the accessibility audit shows two failing items on toilet access, the venue is given a remediation deadline, and the bid is conditionally accepted.
