The FIPJP rulebook is dense, technically worded, and unforgiving for self-study. Trainees who try to read it end-to-end stall by section three.

Without modular breakdown and worked examples, the material remains abstract and the trainee cannot map it onto the situations they will face on a tournament court. Worked examples grounded in real cases (a contested measurement at the European Championship, an obstruction call at a national final) build the pattern recognition that distinguishes a confident umpire from a hesitant one.
