Coach Registry & Certification
En bref
The Coach Registry & Certification subsystem is the federation's authoritative directory of qualified coaches, mapping every BF1 Initiateur, BF2 Educateur and Entraineur to a verifiable license, specialization profile and assignment history. It powers the trust layer that lets clubs hire safely and lets governing bodies audit who is allowed to teach.
Comment ça fonctionne
Coaches enter the platform through Coach registration, where each profile is created against a federation-issued qualification level (BF1 Initiateur, BF2 Educateur, or Entraineur). The registration captures formation date, issuing authority and the credential ID, then attaches the result to the user's identity via a dedicated coaching license that is linked to the federation. From that moment the coach has a public-facing Coach profile listing qualifications, specializations (youth, high-performance, shooting technique, mental game, etc.) and accumulated experience.
Certification tracking and renewal runs as a continuous lifecycle process. Each certification carries an expiry date and a renewal pathway — typically a refresher module from F06.03 plus a minimum number of logged coaching hours. The platform issues automatic warnings as expiry approaches, transitions the license to a grace state, and finally suspends directory visibility if the renewal is not completed in time. National federations can configure the renewal cadence, the required CPD hours and whether suspended coaches keep read-only profile access.
The Coach directory exposes the verified roster externally with filters by region, level and specialization, so a club searching for a U15 shooting specialist within their département gets only certified, in-good-standing coaches. Internally, Coach-to-player assignment tracking links each coach to the players, squads or academy cohorts they currently work with, including start date, role (head coach, assistant, mental coach) and scope. This relationship feeds Coaching hours logging — every session, drill block or competition support entry adds to the coach's CPD ledger, which in turn feeds back into renewal eligibility, federation reporting and the coach's own portfolio.

En pratique
Marie passes her BF2 Educateur exam at the regional formation centre. Her examiner approves the credential, which auto-creates her coach record with qualification level BF2, expiry in four years and a coaching license tied to the federation. Marie completes her profile by adding 'youth' and 'pointing technique' as specializations.
A week later, the U13 club in Aix-en-Provence searches the directory for a BF2 youth coach within 30 km and finds her. They issue a coach-to-player assignment for their twelve U13 players. Each Wednesday Marie logs her two-hour session through coaching hours logging; after eighteen months she has accrued the CPD volume needed to start her Entraineur upgrade.
